Ingredients for Cinnamon Vanilla Coffee Creamer
While I have my favorite brands, if you have similar ingredients on hand, don’t waste any time and go ahead and make a batch of this homemade coffee creamer. You’ll be happy you’re saving money and can try out my favorites another time.
- Half and Half
- Pure Vanilla Extract (I use Rodelle)
- Vietnamese Cinnamon
So you’re probably wondering why pure vanilla extract and Vietnamese cinnamon. Quite simply, they are really good ingredients. The flavor of Vietnamese cinnamon just pops. It gives this creamer and baked goods through and through cinnamon flavor.
Remember my mantra – use the best ingredients you can afford for they will make the best recipes.
With the cost of vanilla being so expensive, I realize it can be a spurge item. However, the money you spend on the cost of a good vanilla will make many batches of this coffee creamer, saving you money in the long run.
And who doesn’t love to save money? Everyone I know loves to save money. This is an easy way to make a delicious gourmet coffee at home.
This is a homemade coffee creamer without condensed milk. Why? Because sweetened condensed milk adds a fair amount of sugar. I deliberately chose not to add it because I don’t like sugar in my coffee. It’s that simple.
While I’m no expert, I would guess this is a healthier coffee creamer since there is no added sugar.
If you like sugar in your coffee, add it to taste after adding the creamer to your cup.
If you’re somewhat adventurous make a double or triple batch and use it for making French toast. Do you enjoy other coffee drinks? Why not try my caramel coffee.

I really love the idea of making my own coffee creamer. I stopped using creamer a couple of years ago and went black, slightly sweetened, but every once in awhile I do like to treat myself. I no longer buy bottles of creamer because they get wasted but this is a GREAT way for me to serve myself a treat but ALSO to save money doing it! Thank you so much for this recipe!
Amy (Savory Moments) says
I love this because it’s not sweetened! I usually just drink my coffee with some plain half and half, but this is nice for a treat and without the added sugar.

Ellen, now *this* is more like it! I don’t like sugar in my coffee, so your version with half and half is much more to my liking. I always turn down vanilla flavored coffee drinks because it’s usually artificial vanilla. Your creamer with real cream and real high-quality vanilla and cinnamon is a whole ‘nother matter!
