Most of the ingredients you probably have on hand. Just add the mint Oreos to your grocery list and these bars will be an Oreo lover’s dream come true.
- Devil’s Food Cake Mix – 15.25 size
- Vegetable Oil – or canola oil, but definitely a neutral oil
- Water
- Large Egg
- Mint Oreos – not the mint Oreo thins
- Confectioner’s Sugar
- Milk – you can substitute water if you prefer
- Cooking Spray with Flour – I like Pam for Baking or Baker’s Joy. You’ll need it to spray the square baking pan for easy removal from the pan.
What’s the best way to crush Oreos for a recipe?
There are a few ways to make chopped Oreos. It also depends on how finely crushed you need the Oreos. For this Mint Oreo Bars recipe, I put the Oreos in a ziploc bag and used a rolling pin to break up the cookies into chunks. If you need crumbs, use a food processor. This ice cream torte uses Oreo crumbs.
