Tips and Suggestions
This easy garlic bread pepperoni pizza recipe is easily customizable. Pepperoni is what my family enjoys, but you can use your favorite pizza toppings such as sliced mushrooms, sliced red onions, bell peppers, sliced black olives, pineapple, ham, sausage, red pepper flakes, and whatever else you like. You could even make a barbecue garlic toast pizza.
Don’t skip toasting the bread before building the pizza. The first time I made this recipe, I didn’t toast the bread first. While they were still delicious, they weren’t crispy. The second time I made them, they were crispy, and toasting them helped.

Finish off your Texas toast pizza with some grated Parmesan cheese. A little sprinkle adds some extra flavor.
I like to layer the cheese on top of the sauce, then add the pepperoni or other toppings. If you are using smaller toppings, add some Mozzarella on top to keep them on.
Line your baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup. I was out of foil.
What can I serve with garlic bread pizza?
Serve garlic bread pepperoni pizza with a steaming bowl of tomato basil soup, extra marinara or pizza sauce for dipping, or a nice garden salad.
