Lunch box kebobs are fun for kids to eat. These lunch box kebabs could, quite possibly, be the easiest snack you make for your child’s lunch. Or your lunch. The best thing about these fruit kabobs, besides being fun, is the versatility. Use whatever fruit you like. I will suggest you don’t use fruits that can brown unless you spritz them with lemon juice first. Adding cheese cubes is a great idea too.

I first put these lunch box kabobs in my son’s lunch when he was in second grade. He loved them. Thought they were exceptionally fun especially since his friends were impressed too. He had something his friends didn’t. That always makes kids feel good. Soon he was helping to make them and pick out even more fruit to put on them, although what I’ve pictured here, cantaloupe, watermelon and blueberries are still his favorite. It’s been a two years now since he’s taken his lunch to school, (he’s a big 7th grader now and it’s not cool), but he still loves when I make them for him at home.

I believe it’s the little things that make something special. I think he will always remember these easy fruit kabobs.
