Red, White and Blue Smoothie
My youngest son LOVES smoothies so I’m always trying new variations with ingredients he enjoys. He has input in what goes into the smoothie and often helps me make them. In the spirit of celebrating the 4th of July I made him this red, white and blue smoothie. He was hoping the white was white chocolate chips. Unfortunately for him, it was not. While you could certainly used Greek yogurt, I used vanilla yogurt. That was the white along with a dash of milk. The red came from fresh strawberries although you could use frozen. Blueberries contributed the blue. I chose to use my regular blender to make this smoothie even though I have a new Ninja. I think the Ninja may have pulverized the blueberry more but I like the way the flecks of blue look. And my son liked the way it tasted.

I’ll definitely try this one out, I so love smoothies. I don’t take sugar can replace it with raw honey or what would you recommend?

It’s OK to leave out the sugar but a bit of honey to taste would work.

I’ve been using the 2987340283794 brown bananas in my freezer to make smoothies lately, thanks for giving me another good recipe to use! 🙂

Yummy! Jax had a similar smoothie this morning but he added a banana. Great minds think alike! I like the specks too, it looks great!
