Warm Apple Topping

Easy to make and delicious served over pancakes, waffles, ice cream, grilled pound cake or as a side dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 large apples peeled, cored and cut into 1/4-inch slices, I used Envy Apples
  • 2 tablespoons packed light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon apple pie spice
  • 1/4 cup apple juice

Instructions

  • In a large, non-stick skillet over medium heat, melt butter.
  • Add apples, brown sugar and apple pie spice. Cook over medium heat, stirring often, 3 -5 minutes, or until apples are tender. 
  • Stir in apple juice and bring to a boil. Allow to boil one minute. Remove from heat and serve.
