Pulled Pork Sandwiches

It's nice to come home and have dinner almost done!

Ingredients

  • 3 - 4 pound Boston Butt (bone-in or boneless)
  • 1 onion sliced into rings
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 bottle barbecue sauce I used an 18 ounce bottle of Kraft Original
  • Salt and pepper
  • Rolls for serving

Instructions

  • Season roast on all sides.
  • In a skillet brown the Boston butt on all sides. I do this for about 6-8 minutes on each side and top and bottom.
  • Add onions to bottom of crock pot. Place roast in crock pot. Add beef broth and barbecue sauce. Turn on high for 8 hours, do not lift lid.
  • After 8 hours, pull roast from liquid to cutting board. Shred meat with 2 forks and place into a large saucepan. Add more barbecue sauce to moisten meat and heat through.
  • Serve on nice rolls with onions from liquid and additional barbecue sauce.

Notes

Easily make sliders with the pulled pork.
