Prairie Apple Crunch

A light dessert option for fall, or any time.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium apples
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon apple pie spice
  • Pinch salt
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup flour
  • ¼ cup butter melted
  • ½ cup chopped pecans
  • Half and half for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350℉. Grease a 9" square baking dish with butter, add apples and set aside.
  • In a small bowl mix granulated sugar, apple pie spice and salt. Sprinkle over apples.
  • In separate bowl combine the brown sugar, flour, pecans and butter. Sprinkle over apple mixture.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 35 - 40 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature with cream.
