Preheat the oven to 350℉. Butter a 9x13" pan and set aside.
Evenly dump in the dry cake mix. Add the dry pudding mix. Drizzle melted butter over the top. Add milk. Using a wooden spoon or rubber spatula, mix all the ingredients, gently so as not to splatter.
1 15.25 oz Devil's Food Cake Mix, 1 5.9 oz. Instant Chocolate Pudding, 1 stick unsalted butter, melted, 1¾ cups milk (I used 2%)
Once it's all mixed and there is no dry mix or streaks, evenly smooth out the batter. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the top of the batter.

Bake in a 350°F oven for 30 to 35 minutes until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool slightly and serve warm or at room temperature.
Sprinkle powdered sugar over the top of the cake before serving, if desired.
