Instructions
Season roast on all sides.
In a skillet brown the Boston butt on all sides. I do this for about 6-8 minutes on each side and top and bottom.
Add onions to bottom of crock pot. Place roast in crock pot. Add beef broth and barbecue sauce. Turn on high for 8 hours, do not lift lid.
After 8 hours, pull roast from liquid to cutting board. Shred meat with 2 forks and place into a large saucepan. Add more barbecue sauce to moisten meat and heat through.
Serve on nice rolls with onions from liquid and additional barbecue sauce.
