Preheat your oven to 350℉. Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats. Set them aside.
In a large bowl, stir together the cake mix and baking powder. Set aside.
1 box strawberry cake mix, 15.25 ounce size, 1 teaspoon baking powder
In a small bowl, whisk the eggs, oil, and vanilla extract. Add this to the cake mixture and stir everything together until well combined, making sure there are no dry mix streaks.
2 large eggs, ⅓ cup vegetable oil, 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Mix in the chocolate chips. Using a cookie scoop, drop by rounded balls, 2 inches apart, onto the prepared cookie sheets.
1¼ cups milk chocolate chips
Bake for 10 - 12 minutes until the edges just begin to brown and the cookies are set. Remove cookies from the oven and allow them to cool on the baking sheet for at least five minutes. They will be soft. Using a small spatula, move the cookies to a cooling rack to cool completely before storing.
