  • 1-2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup Christmas nonpareils

Instructions

Make the Cookies

  • Preheat the oven to 350℉. Line baking sheets with silicone baking mats or parchment paper.
  • Using a stand or hand mixer, combine the cake mix, vegetable oil, and eggs until a dough forms.
1 box 15.25oz yellow cake mix, ½ cup vegetable oil, 2 large eggs
  • Using a #100 cookie scoop, portion out the dough onto prepared baking sheets, leaving about 2" between each cookie.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes, until the edges are slightly browned around the edges and set.
  • Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool for about 5 minutes on the baking sheet before removing them to a cooling rack to cool completely. They must be completely cool before frosting.

Make the Frosting

  • Beat the butter until smooth and light in color. Add the powdered sugar, pure vanilla extract, salt, and 1 tablespoon of milk. Mix until smooth, adding more milk a little at a time until you reach a spreadable consistency
