Goldenberry Jam

Use Goldenberry Jam on croissants or any other breakfast bread.

Ingredients

  • 3 ounces Goldenberries From Melissa's Produce
  • 1/2 cup sugar I used Dixie Crystals
  • 2 - 3 Tablespoons water

Instructions

  • Peel and wash the goldenberries. (Peeling means removing the paper husk.)
  • Slice each berry in half and place in a small saucepan with the sugar and 2 tablespoons of water over medium heat.
  • Simmer gently, adjusting the heat as necessary, until the mixture is the consistency of a loose jam.
  • Raise the heat and allow to boil until a jam-like consistency is achieved but not longer than 3-4 minutes or the jam will turn to candy, which could be fun too.

Notes

Start with 2 tablespoons of water and add more if needed.
