Preheat the oven to 350℉.
Cut the Hawaiian rolls in half so there is a top and bottom half. Set the bottom in the baking dish. Layer the roast beef on the bottom, you want to use all of it and place it evenly on the bottom rolls. Layer the Provolone cheese on top of the roast beef.
In a medium skillet over medium heat, melt the 3 tablespoons of butter and add the onions. Cook over medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes until onions are golden and caramelized. Remove from heat. Using tongs, begin layering the warm onions on top of the cheese.
In a saucepan, melt the butter with sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard. Stir well to incorporate making sure the sugar and butter are melted.
Using a pastry brush spread about half of the butter mixture on the inside of the top buns. Place on top of the bottom section in the baking dish. Brush the remaining butter mixture over the top and sides of the sliders, reserving some for when they come out of the oven.
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 10 - 15 minutes until the tops are brown and the cheese is melted. Remove from the oven and place on a cooling rack.
Using two spatula turners, remove the sliders from the baking dish to a cutting board. Using a sharp knife, cut into 12 sliders along the roll cut lines. Serve!
