It’s time for #Choctoberfest once again and I’m kicking it off with A Chocolate Cake Round-Up. I’ve gathered up a collection of some of my favorite chocolate recipes from blogger friends around the country. Many would be a lovely addition to a holiday dessert table, a perfect cake for a birthday, anniversary or just because. Even #NationalChocolateCake day which is celebrated each year on January 27th.
I have to start off this chocolate round up with one of my absolute favorite cakes. My friend Carlee, from Cooking with Carlee, made this cake from my Mom’s recipe box. I don’t want to give away the delightful story, you’ll just have to check out the recipe for Ellen’s German Chocolate Cake.
Jolene from Jolene’s Recipe Journal made this Best Chocolate Cake Ever for her birthday cake. It’s an interesting cake that include ricotta cheese and sour cream which makes for a deliciousness in every single bite.
This chocolate peanut butter Bundt cake with peanut butter glaze is a recipe I made for a guest post over at YumGoggle. Chocolate and peanut butter are such a classic combination that is sure to be popular at any pot luck.
This beautiful chocolate tart with a shortbread crust is from Karen’s Kitchen Stories. It’s a truly stunning dessert that would be a delicious addition to a holiday table. Easy but impressive.

This flourless chocolate cake from Palatable Pastime may be gluten-free but it’s not only delicious it’s also impressive. Top with berries and cream or ice cream to finish it off.
