The most popular desserts of 2018.

It’s no secret that my family and I love dessert. We all have our favorites in my house from chocolate to berries, cakes to pies to crisps. You, my readers, also have favorites. I thought it would be fun to compile a list. Here are the 10 most popular desserts for 2018 from Family Around the Table.

A delicious dessert for two that can easily be adjusted for more servings.

Coming in at number ten is blueberry crisp for two. It’s always a hit when I make it for my husband and son. They are the blueberry fans in my house.

It's fun for each dinner guest to get an individual apple crisp.

Number nine is another crisp. This time it’s Individual apple crisp. This is great for entertaining because every guest gets their own personal dessert. You can make just as many as you need for your party.

Cranberry Bliss Bars are a sweet end to any meal.

Cranberry bliss bars are the eighth most popular dessert on the blog this year. It’s a popular treat that is my husband’s favorite fall snack. The money we have saved since I started making this coffee shop treat at home has been great!

Lemon Oreo bars are sure to become a favorite of lemon lovers everywhere.

Coming in at number seven are lemon Oreo bars. I made these after my son begged me to buy lemon Oreos but didn’t eat them. Of course, once I made this treat, he changed his mind!

Strawberry Layer Cake with Strawberry Buttercream Frosting is an impressive cake.

Sixth on the list is strawberry layer cake with strawberry buttercream frosting. This cake is a strawberry lover’s dream come true! Florida strawberry season runs November to March so I try to make this each year. The chocolate dipped strawberries are piéce de résistance.

At number five is rave review coconut cake. My Mom made this every Easter and it is probably my absolute favorite cake EVER. It’s dangerous when I make it because I really could eat the entire cake by myself. I make it every time my brother-in-law visits because it’s his favorite too.

Italian Cream Cake is a delicious dessert.

Fourth on the list is another one of my Mom’s recipes. It’s Italian cream cake with nutty cream cheese frosting and one of my all time favorite cakes. I always love ordering a slice of Italian cream cake when dining at one of my favorite restaurants. Now I can make an even better version at home.

Glazed cranberry almond squares make a nice choice for a holiday dessert buffet.

Glazed cranberry almond squares come in at number three. Another recipe posted this year that found instant popularity. It’s easy, delicious and impressive. A perfect dessert for fall.

Hershey Bar Pie will become a favorite in your house too.

At number two is a personal favorite and popular with my kids. I got the recipe for Hershey Bar Pie from a co-worker. My kids actually love this pie so much they have asked for it in lieu of birthday cake.

Out of This World Apple Cake is a delicious fall dessert.

Drum roll, please. The number one dessert of 2018 is another one of my Mom’s recipes. Out of This World Apple Cake has been the fastest rising star recipe ever on the blog, receiving the most views in the shortest amount of time.

The crisps and the cranberry bliss bars would definitely be my favorites, but the Italian cream cake would totally blow them out of the water. I love it so much. Definitely need to make it for my birthday in 2019!

They all look awesome, but that Hershey Pie would be gone in an instant here!
