Make delicious strawberry lemonade with farmers market finds.

You could say my kids are lemonade fiends. Usually I just make fresh lemonade but there were strawberries in my fridge recently that needed to be used so…hence strawberry lemonade. The kids were just as happy, if not happier, with my new strawberry version.

I’ve been making my lemonade for many, many years and it’s always well received. So I decide to throw in the strawberries and it worked beautifully. I will say the berries were a little past their prime so it was a good way to use them up.

Making fresh lemonade is a bit of a task, especially if you don’t have an electric juicer. I do have one but often prefer to do it by hand.

Fresh strawberry lemonade is a refreshing treat.

The real time-consuming part is straining the strawberry puree but I will tell you it’s worth it. Especially when your kids shower you with compliment after compliment.

“Mom, you make the best lemonade.” “Mom, when can you make this again?” Who wouldn’t want to hear that? Next time I make it, I will get them involved in the action.
